The Andes and Amazon Field School offers 140 contact hours of Quichua language instruction to meet the US Department of Education standards for FLAS Fellowship awards.  To meet this requirement FLAS Fellows must enroll in a Quichua language course for both summer sessions.

Projected cost of Summer 2008 FLAS Awards (subject to change)

Arizona Residents:

$2369   Institutional payment which includes:
$ 199     Program Fee
$ 2170   tuition for 7 credits of Quichua language at. @ $310 per credit (graduate resident rate.)

$2500   Stipend is paid directly to the student and can be used for room and board costs.

Non-Residents of Arizona:

$4000    Institutional payment which includes:
$ 199    Program Fee
$3801    tuition for 7 credits of Quichua language @ $543 per credit (graduate nonresident rate)

$2500   Stipend is paid directly to the student and can be used for room and board costs.
