ASU Undergraduates
The Office Summer Sessions offers 20 scholarships of $750 for summer study abroad. The Andes and Amazon Field School qualifies for these scholarships. Deadline:March 30, 2008. To apply click on http://www.asu.edu/ssc/abroad/students/scholarships.html

The Barret Honors College offers several $1000 Barrett Summer Study Abroad Scholarships which can be applied to the Andes and Amazon Field School.
Graduate Students
FLAS (Foreign Language and Area Studies) Fellowships are the single most important source of funding for graduate students wishing to attend the Andes and Amazon Field School. To date, most qualifying candidates have been funded. Graduate students from any university who are U.S. residents may apply.
FLAS Fellowships: FLAS Fellowships cover the cost of lodging, three meals per day, in country travel, tuition and program fees. FLAS Fellowships are available through the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, co-sponsor of the Field School. ____ 2. Curriculum Vitae (maximum of two pages)
____ 3. Undergraduate and graduate transcripts. (If it takes time to get an official transcript send us an unofficial transcript immediately with the official transcript to follow).
_____4. Brief statement (2 page maximum): history of languages previously studied (number of years of study and current ability in those languages) AND how the language that you propose to study and career objectives.
Note: It is particularly important that you articulate as clearly as possible how the study of Quichua will strengthen your graduate thesis or program of study and how all of this may contribute to a career enhanced by the study of Quichua.
